The executive committee are pleased to announce that our request for paid facility time has been accepted by Hmpps and, confirmation should have been communicated to all Governors/Directors.
This allows all certified CJWU representatives to be afforded paid facility time to represent our members on disciplinary Investigation hearings and grievances.
This is a huge step forward for our union particularly, after such a short period of time and, this achievement should not be underestimated.
Although through excellent work by the executive and, in particular, executive member Mike Rolfe, this still could not have been accomplished without the dedication and commitment of our local representatives throughout the country. Your support and passion for the CJWU in these early stages has helped greatly towards this success and, has enabled us to be a driving force in trade union representation for all who work within the Justice system.
There is still a long way to go but, this latest success shows that we are heading in the right direction in becoming the premier union for all justice workers.
